I love English and enjoy English lessons with our teacher. This lesson was cool. That's my lesson plan 1. Starter. We saw our teacher with a paper bag full of food. She said: -I have been to the supermarket – look what I have got. We named the food we saw and wrote the names on the board and in our workbooks. (That’s what I had: milk, bread, cheese, chocolate, olives, pickled cucumbers, pasta, and cola) 2. Teacher said: - We usually buy these things in different packaging. Now we are going to a supermarket. We watched a video and teacher asked us to write down as many kinds of packaging as we can. We did it and checked together the correct pairs of words ( a carton of milk, a piece of cheese, a loaf of bread, a bar of chocolate…..) 3. We watched the video once again, repeated the words and word combinations. 4. We played a game “Find your pair”. Teacher divided us in two groups: in one group students had flashcards with pictures or beginnings of phrases from the supermarket, in the second group students had words to match with pictures or endings of the sentences. We moved around the class and tried to find our pair. Now that was fun! 5. Time to speak. We saw the first slide of the PPT presentation and our teacher asked us: - Who are these people? (Customer and shop-assistant). She asked us to divide the page in two columns in our workbooks and try to write down the phrases which can customer or shop-assistant say. customer or shop-assistant Can I help you? How much is/are …? Thanks, I'm just looking. Would you like to try it on? Do you have a discount card? Here is your change. How would you like to pay? Cash or credit card? It’s too expensive. I'd like something cheaper. Sorry, do you have it in other colours? What size are you? I would like…/ I need… I'll pay in cash. Where are the fitting rooms? Then we checked and translated the phrases/ 6. Dialogues. We worked in pairs and made dialogues “at the supermarket”, then acted them in front of the class and got marks. 7. Home task was one of my favourite : Mini-project “My shopping basket”( to get a photo or a picture of the things we bought at the supermarket).I like doing projects it's more interesting than doing exercises.
