  • There’s no plase like home Let me introduse myself . My name isVictoria . I’ m student of the 11 th form . I’ m going to become an English teacher , English is my favourite subject , and I want to address my thanks to our teacher . English lessons are always creative , where we , students , show our experience , imagination knowledge and great desire to share them with other . The mast favorite kind of our activity is the method of project . Itinvites us to the wonderland world of knowledge . Here , I’ d like to describe one of the lest lesson which we had last year . The topic of our lesson was «There’s no place like home» . Two weeks we prepared for it .We gathered information’s about the history of Fedorivka and famous people of Ukraine , found different Ukrainian proverbs , consulted many reference sources . We did our tasks by pairs and groups . All students of my class were involved in this activity . The lesson began with the words of many English teacher . The said that love of Motherland comes to people in different ways . For some people their Motherland begins in their own village, for others in their houses , in which they have grown up . Usually this place is the best place in the world . After thst we sand a very beautiful song . Its words vrote our countryman , Mikhail Matussovsky. This song was translated into English «Where Does Your Homeland Begin for You The next activity was the oliscussion , wherewetried to ansver the fallouring questions : • What does it mean to be a citigen ? • It is a profession ? • What are the two meaning of the word «Motheland ? » • What do you know about the history and traditions of our village ? We wathed very interesting film about the history of my village and the Cossacs caves in Fedorivka . The my friend Olga recited the poem of our countryman Volodymyr Sosyura « love Ukraine». John F.Kennedy once said : «Ask not what your country can do for you , but what you can do for your country ? » We continued to discus some questions : • How do you learn to be a citigen ? • Whose examples can teach you to become a good citigen of your country ? • What are you responsible for as a school students ? The we discussed some English proverbs : • Qive and take . • The hand that gives gathers • Do well and have well . Students explained how they understand them and we recollected Ukrainian equivalents . My classmates presented their projects. We listened the stories about the history of my village Fedorivka , about S .T . Koroliov , the famous scientist and desiner ; E . Paton , out standing scientist of Ukraine ; I . Sikorsky the famous pioneer of aviation , L. Kadeniuk Ukrainian astronaut . The lesson was very interesting , bright and unusual . We learn many new information . All we received many positive emotions . Our home task was to write a short essay on the topic « My little Motherland »
