My favourite English lesson School life is full of interesting and useful episodes. I think the school age is the most important period in the life of young person. In my opinion learning different subjects at school is very important for choosing the future profession. It is an open secret, English is one of the most widespread language in the world. Actually, English is a great necessity for all people today. For this reason I pay much attention to learning English. Of course English lessons are my favourite ones because they are of great help for me to improve English. As for me I am fond of learning English. All my English lessons are instructive and essential. I can’t forget my first English lesson in the second form. The teacher entered the classroom with many pictures in her hands. She spoke only English. I didn’t understand anything, but those pictures helped me to learn the language. There were English people at the lessons. On the one hand I was afraid of them. They were strangers. On the other hand it was interesting for me to know what were they speaking about. That was the first moment that made me interested in English. To tell the truth, learning the language I also learnt the culture and traditions of English people. It is true, they are different and unordinary. I hope, I will have an excellent chance to get to their native countries and to see the stereotypes with my own eyes. I had a lot of interesting and instructive lessons during my schooling but one of the best English lesson I had was the lesson on the topic “The Earth is in danger “ last year. Our English teacher started that lesson with a very interesting task. We had to name the words associated with the word “the Earth” in order to check how well we knew the vocabulary. Then we did a group work. Each group discussed an environmental quote and reported the results of their discussion. Then we had brainstorming and named the major problems facing humanity in the 21st century. After that the students presented their projects about main problems of our planet. All the projects were very different and interesting and the pupils were very active and showed good knowledge in this field. We listened to “The Earth Song” by Michael Jackson and expressed the main idea of the song. We solved a crossword, recite poems, did a lot of grammar and vocabulary exercises. The students did a quiz to find out how green they are. We read the texts “ Earth Day” and “Greenpeace” and did interesting reading tasks. We sang a song “The future’s in our hands”, watched a video about the international organization that protects the environment “Greenpeace”. Although we worked hard for about an hour and a half, all of us enjoyed the creative and encouraging atmosphere of the lesson. My English teacher is a model of competence who makes us learn the language very well and always encourages us in learning. As the English proverb says “ So many languages you know, so many times you are a man.” I agree with it. To cut a long story short I appreciate all lessons at school. Some of them are unforgettable. I will always remember my school teachers and their instructive and interesting lessons.
