  • I very like English lessons. Speaking about my favourite subject I must admit that it is English. English is very important as it has become the most used language in politics, science, trade and cultural relations in the world. Since the first days at school English has become my favourire subject. At the age of 7 we were introduced into foreign speech and were taught to read, write and listen to short texts in English. Our English teacher made each lesson an interesting game which we enjoyed very much.It was exciting easy to learn English at that time by playing games and singing songs. I have three lessons a day. I also attend English courses in my native town. There we read different texts, discuss any questions, write vocabulary dictations. We are never bored and spend time with pleasure. We read books by English writers.Recently I have read “Harry Potter” in the original. And I must say that it’s cool. It helped me to learn a lot of new vocabulary and get to know some English phrases and idioms. We also read English magazines and newspapers. It improves my vocabulary too. I write new words on little cards and look them through every evening before going to sleep. We watch video films and listen to songs in English. Each of us has a player, so we often listen to songs using our teaching cassettes when walking. To tell the truth ,it’s a very effective method of learning foreign language. Our teacher is a very intelligent person ,she teaches us all that she knows. And she knows a lot about the history of Great Britain, Its customs and traditions. Our lessons are always very interesting and useful. We try to work hard and fruitfully at the English lessons. Thanks to illustrations, posters and presentations that teacher uses at the lessons ,we study materials easily and quickly. I think our English lessons will help me to feel comfortable in our modern world where the universal language for everybody is English.
