Topic: Countries of the world My name is Anna. I am in the ninth from. I would like to renew a lesson which I have remembered since very well. Back then I was at the fifth grade , as our English teacher gave us an unusual homework . Using my imagination I was supposed to present my favorite country. I had a plan, given us by our English teacher. According that plan we had to tell about : 1. Geographical position 2. Capital 3. Population 4. Holidays 5. Traditions The first part of our work was to find the information. After the translation we showed it to the teacher, she indicated our mistakes us to correct them. When this part of the job was finished, we started to make the presentation. It did challenge me. At first I did not know what to do. It was new to me. That evening I let everybody know about this at my house and my father agreed to help me. So after a long discussion we chose Israel. The first part of our work was to find the information. After the translation we showed it to the teacher, she indicated our mistakes us to correct them. When this part of the job was finished, we started to make the presentation. Together with my dad we described Israel`s beginning with its place on the map, all its victories and fails. All God`s help and blessing even in our days. I also made a post of Israel. I also drew the flag with the coat of arms . Next morning I got up excited and went to school with pleasure. I remember my feeling before the lesson; I was encouraged very much. I also found out that many students had got ready. So the lesson had its beginning with the teacher’s greeting. The teacher spoke just English. She encouraged us asking if we were ready. She smiled and offered us to start. My friend went a front and had a speech about China , it took her about five minutes. Then my friend asked a few questions to the class. So answering her questions we let the teacher know that we understood everything. After the first presentation there was Canada, India and Russia , after each time we had discussions and looked at the posts of the countries. Finally my turn came , I realized that I had to do my best. I asked God for help and had my speech. Because of having used no internet during the preparation, my speech had simple words and sentences. The faces of my classmates were expressing such emotions that I felt they understood what I was speaking about. I also noted that my teacher liked my work too. She began to tell us that she had been to Israel before and had liked it very much. But it was not the end yet. Then she separated us in groups of three students we to choose out of the countries just one presentation. My group chose Israel. So each of us said something that he liked and understood about Israel. My group was the best. By the end of the lesson I found out that I got 12. As for me it has been a good stimulus to study English after that lesson. Pray the Lord.
