  • Good day! My name’s Valeriia Bruslyk. As for thirteen years, I live in Ukraine, in Kirovograd region, town Svitlovodsk. I study at school number ten, 7-B class. My favourite lesson is English. Within seven years of studying my favourite theme of discussion is food. Victoria Viktorovna had made with us an open lesson " Master chief". At the beginning of the lesson we put on our aprons. The first task was to guess the name of the dish according to the recipe. All guessed that it was Russian salad. Next, we repeated the transfer of learned words about food 1). Prepared word combinations with Baking- Roasting- Grilling- Frying- Boiling- Simmering- Steaming- 2). What could be…. Sour, bitter, salty, sweet, spicy, delicious, disgusting (fish, meat, cutlet, soup, chicken, ice cream, eggs, sausage, pizza, bread, cheese, salad, bacon, ham, coffee, butter, sugar, tea, juice, honey, chocolate, mashed potatoes, cottage cheese, turkey, French fries, pie, candy, pasta, jam, strawberry, apple). Our teacher said we had to prepare a video on the topic of food. But we didn’t have such opportunity, we got a job for the holidays to make our own video of cooking delicious dishes and for this lesson, we had prepared a video to show it for the class and attending guests. The first task was- the team presented for us a short film about one of the recipes. The opposite team watched it attentively and after watching tried to reproduce the recipe step by step in oral form. The participants might write on the paper and after finishing used their notes. Choosing a speaker who presented our work. The winner got 5 points. After watching the video, we had reproduced the recipes’ components and order of actions. After that we had our physical-warm-up, making charging. Movements showed the effect of cooking. Then we had to put them in order of sentences to form the correct recipe. The next task was- write down the sentences in a right order and read the recipe. Shortbread biscuits Mix 350g of flour, 225g of butter, 100g of sugar and some salt. Put into a shallow pan. Put it into the oven at 170 C for 1 hour. Cut into pieces. Delicious with a glass of milk. Pancakes Mix 2 cups of flour, 1 cup of milk, 1 cup of water and 1 egg. Put some of the liquid into a frying pan. Cook the pancakes on both sides. Delicious with lemon and sugar. And the last- using the words write your own recipe. (ham, mix, add, eggs, oil, olives, salt, cheese, chop) Give a name to your recipe and read it. At the end of the lesson, we summarized the work. It was really a very interesting lesson! We said to everybody who were presented on the lesson:” Enjoy your meal!”.
